That's right outlast is the game with the huge number of jump scares and the sequel has got even scarier which I will cover next time. now let me tell you about Outlast.
Outlast is a first-person survival horror game developed by red barrels This game focuses on stealth mode and there are no combats in the game which makes it even more scarier. you can only hide or evade there is no other option to fight back which makes the game too intense.
The first time I played created that negative vibe due to the sound and atmosphere since it takes place in a psychiatric hospital. while playing the game I had to take the break in between to complete the game since sometimes the jump scares in the game got too much for me and this is the game guys that should be played while you are not alone at home. when you play the game you will get the feeling of what I am talking about why not to play alone.
I played alone and there are some players too who can but still if you are someone who is a beginner at horror games then this game is not for you watch the gameplay which I listed below...
The game starts with investigative journalist miles Upshur who investigates this hospital due to the mail from the anonymous source which says that there are inhumane experiments conducted at the psychiatric hospital.
Now I will come to the part which will give you thrills, the character enters the hospital and has no way to get out of this place. the character has a camcorder with night vision. the hospital has the dark environment at many places where you need to see with a camcorder. the camcorder will consume the batteries slowly making the character to search for additional batteries.there are some deaths throughout the hospital. the game is not appropriate for all audience, it has mature contents.the character is pursued by many mental patients who come in the intention to kill, your job is either to run and evade them or hide in the places like the locker or under the bed.
There are some levels in the game where it becomes difficult to find a hiding spot. so my scariest part of the game is there is an antagonist named Chris Walker also known as strong fat who is going to appear in the game for the number of times, he is the person also responsible for the lots of death in the hospital.once he appears, he will pursue you relentlessly, this is when you are going to get the most extreme jumpscares ever, he is the person whom you don't want to meet in the game since he is the strongest of all other inmates and they created him scarier than the rest of other inmates. his growling voice is going to give you thrills for sure.
If this was not scary enough there is one more antagonist in the game known as Richard trader who is the creepiest guy in the game who keeps on experimenting on patients, when he appears the extreme violent part will appear by default.when you see the instrument he uses for experimenting you will faint there for sure.he is the most violent doctor I ever seen.there is no drawback I found in this game because as survival horror game the developers have executed it perfectly .the sound, atmosphere and the mechanics of the game blends perfectly.
Its the game of hide and seek but with horror environment. its one of my favourite horror games and I recommend horror fans to play it ,this game is definitely for you guys.
the developer has created this game in such a way that the player will feel that vibe which will give you goosebumps for sure. i am the proof of that and if you find this game interesting then you will also like outlast 2.
